Establishing a comprehensive MR safety program is essential to protecting patients, staff, and imaging facilities in today’s increasingly complex MR environment. This webinar offers practical steps to approach developing—or strengthening—an MRI safety program that aligns with current regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices.
Participants will learn how to engage leadership and secure management buy-in, a critical first step in gaining the support and resources needed for sustained safety improvements. This two-part session will cover how to conduct site-specific risk assessments, develop and/or review MR safety policies and procedures, and implement role-based safety structures, including the appointment of designated MR Medical Director and MR Safety Officers. Additionally, strategies for forming effective MR Safety Committees and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through incident reporting and staff education will be explored.
